If this is the same Samuel Wilburn, Elizabeth would have been 1st wife and married abt. age 22 with no children from the marriage or none found. (Could Elizabeth have died during the war or divorced Samuel since he served shortly after their marriage and married Mary McFerran shortly after his service in the war?)
Samuel served in the military in Apr 1862 in Arkansas Cavalry in Captain Stone's Company, Clarkston's Batallion
Special Note: "I have an old, old letter that one of Samuels grandchildren had written to another family member. It tells that Samuel took Thomas to live with their sisters in Ft. Smith, Ark.during the Kansas Conflict. It also says that Samuels grandfathers family came from Germany durring the potato famine". - chris wilburn
